This page explains how to delete your GrowTide account, how to remove an individual child profile, what data is permanently deleted, what is retained and for how long, and how to cancel an active subscription. If you have questions, email [email protected].
Delete in the app (recommended)
- Open GrowTide.
- Sign in as a parent.
- Tap Settings (parent settings screen).
- Scroll to the bottom.
- Tap Delete Account (or Leave Family if a co-parent exists).
- Type DELETE to confirm.
- Re-enter your password.
- Tap Delete.
You'll be signed out. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
What gets deleted permanently
- Your parent account (Firebase Authentication)
- All children profiles, avatars, badges, XP, and coins
- All jobs, job history, allowance records, and reward requests
- All photo proofs (Cloud Storage)
- Custom badges, goal rewards, family settings, and leaderboard
- Push notification tokens
- RevenueCat subscriber record
- COPPA consent record
Co-parent accounts
If your family has more than one parent, deleting your account leaves the family intact for the remaining parent(s). Children, jobs, and data are retained. Only your access and personal record are removed.
Deleting an individual child
- Open Settings and tap the trash icon next to the child's name
- Type DELETE and re-enter your password
- The child profile is soft-deleted for 14 days — you can restore it during this window from Settings → Restore
- After 14 days, all child data is permanently deleted

Active subscriptions — important
Deleting your account does NOT cancel your iOS or Google Play subscription. Cancel your subscription before deleting your account, or you'll continue being charged.
To cancel a subscription:
- iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → GrowTide → Cancel
- Android: Google Play app → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → GrowTide → Cancel
Can't access the app?
- Email [email protected] from the email address on your account
- Include your registered email address and the family name in the message
- We'll delete your account within 14 days of a verified request
Children's data (COPPA / GDPR-K)
- Parents can delete an individual child profile from Settings
- Child data enters a 14-day soft-delete window, then is permanently purged by an automated process
- Photos for that child's jobs are deleted from Cloud Storage during the purge
